About meI love to read, listen to music, take photo's, hike and ride my bike around town. I just love being outdoors and enjoying what my home state has to offer. Many people may talk bad about California but if you stop and look at what it has to offer you wouldn't even need to leave the state. I live in Northern California so there is a lot of outdoor activities to choose from. I just enjoy activities that help me relax and appreciate the resources at my hands.

In April I started back to school towards my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I am interested in working with children and adolescents. I have to do a lot of reading for school so unfortunately I don't have a lot of free time anymore for personal fun reading. I have recently been turned on to a SELECT group of chick lit books to get some relief from school reading.

I somehow also got talked into taking over the Sacramento Chick Lit book club from my friend Megan. So if you're in the area and on Meetup.com check out my group.

Noticed you liked Girl Interrupted, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's mental illness and also a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I haven't checked this site in a long time, but am happy to have a new "friend". I look forward to checking out your library!
I'm so glad you liked it. I agree that it kept close to the moive.
I can't wait until I can watch it again.
I thought the movie was well cast and the script well written. I took my friend who hadn't read the book yet; she said that she really enjoyed. I have to say that there are some tear jerker parts so take tissues. :-)
I hope you enjoy it when you do go.
just a note, if like jodi picoult's books, you must read 'my sister's keeper' and 'the pact' they are by far the best!
