I'm a student of history (ancient history) and literature.
My 60 books challenge: http://www.librarything.nl/topic/53460
Finished 54/60.
I'm reading quite a lot, first of all because I of my studies. I don't mind that, because through that studies I get to read different books than I usually read. That books suprise me most of the times in a good way. It's therefore necessary that I buy books - non-fiction about literary theory and history and novels -. But I'm also a member of four different libraries where I regulary go to.
Recently read:
Beloved - Morrison
The old man and the sea- Hemingway

Some day, after we have mastered the wind,
the waves, the tides, and gravity,
We shall harness for God the energies of Love.
Then, for the second time in the history of the world,
we will have discovered fire.
