About meI am a librarian in an academic Education library. I will read just about anything but do have favorites. I love children's books of all sorts and Young Adult - through literature to non-fiction and biography. Rarely meet a book I don't like. Need more time with open eyes.

About my libraryMy library is an Education Library with a strong focus on literature and manipulatives. We enjoy working with local teachers and librarians needing the materials we house. We work carefully with the school board to ensure we have the most recent selections. It is the best place ever to work.

Good Morning,

NTI Upstream wants to let you know that your author signed Advanced Readers Copy of Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon in Iraq (for your participation in the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program) has been shipped and should arrive shortly.

Bestselling author (Final Exam: A Surgeon's Reflections on Mortality) and NY Times columnist Pauline Chen praises the work as “powerful, thought-provoking, and unforgettable…” In Chen’s words, after reading Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon in Iraq, “You will never again look at the Iraq war—or any war for that matter—in quite the same way.”

We hope you enjoy Coppola: A Pediatric Surgeon in Iraq and look forward to your comments. For further information, please visit the official website http://www.coppolathebook.com

Thank you,

NTI Upstream

Noticed you liked Girl Interrupted, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's mental illness and also a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hey LibrarysCat!
You recently left a comment on my blog about wanting to read Monique and the Mango Rains. I received this one after contacting the publisher directly. They seem to be happy to send out copies to anyone who will review it, so I think you have a good chance at getting it. I still have the contact info, if you are interested. If you can't get them to send a copy, maybe I can send mine to you. E-mail me at heather@figearo.net if you are still interested.
