About meI’m a twentysomething almost-librarian. That is, I currently work in a library and am also a part-time library school student. In the meantime I work in the law library at a large university and completely love it.

In my spare time I knit and crochet, photograph things, bind books, watch films and read. I wish I could combine more of these activities but sadly my ability to multitask does not go that far.

About my libraryMany of these books were acquired for my English degree, but I have had a voracious appetite for books since I was small. Recently, due to space constraints I have been *gasp* selling/donating books which I am unlikely to read again or which do not have sentimental value. I feel much better for it.

I also follow the practice of adding books which I have read but do not own to Librarything in order to keep track of my reading.

Recently I have been devouring historical romances at a rate not seen since I tired of Sweet Valley High. I am an avid Bookmoocher which has enabled me to feed this appetite.

The other book arrived today. I'll reserve them on BookMooch now. I'll be going to the post office on Friday, otherwise, you'll have to wait until early next week. And now I need to ask you if you would be okay with me reading the romance novel before I pass it on to you? I'll treat it gently.
Bachelor Girls has arrived in very good shape. I'll put it up on BookMooch reserved for you when the other book arrives. It has been marked sent so it shouldn't be too long.
I just realized where you are. I lived for two years on the Ridgeway just outside of Wantage. It was by far our favorite place. Have a fun Bonfire Night!
I've just mooched it for you. I'll let you know when both books reach me!
According to the book owner, the book has already been sent and is in good condition.
Just popping by to say "hi"! Hope you're having a great weekend!
The two books I am angeling for you have arrived. I can have them out tomorrow if you mooch them tonight, if not they will go out on Thursday

*blushes* I completely forgot my reservation expired yesterday. I think I just got caught up in schoolwork and all that that it just escaped my mind.

Do you mind waiting another week or would you rather send off the one book now? I know some people don't like to have anything "pending" for very long and that's perfect fine with me. I've been looking around but I can't seem to find another book that's just in the UK so if this doesn't work out, it's probably just going to be Little Dorrit for me. I'm more than happy to smooch you extra points to cover postage since you're being so wonderful ;)
Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Thanks,

Lind- I now have the copy of Tempted All Night that I angeled for you. I have posted it to BookMooch reserved in your name.

Huh! They have already organised our work Christmas party - with a 90's movie theme!!! Blech! The physicists are organising it this year - say no more. :)

I have everything 'croffed' now - that is much, much more tightly-crossed than just your mere "crossed" BTW; makes it very hard to type, or do anything really! But I will stay this way in the hope it will ensure a hassle-free mooch for you! Who am I kidding? It does beat knocking myself in the head regularly and inducing instant headaches - as in *touch wood*. LOL!

I will finish with a simple "thank you"! and I will retire to bed and dream of mooches. :)

Hi Lindsay,
How are you - I hope you had a lovely weekend.

I've found another UK angel mooch: http://www.bookmooch.com/m/detail/009945...
The thing is, I suggest you email her first, as it had been reserved for an international send and I think she just ignored the request - and I don't want you having a big red cancel on your list because of me! :) She may be more inclined to send locally; and then again, she does say she is moving, so she may not be up to sending books to anyone. I've wanted this book for about a year, and perhaps should just buy the damn thing, but hey - it's up for mooching...hopefully!

And besides; I wouldn't want your mooching, on my behalf, to turn dull and boring - not after the last time.:)) If it isn't going to happen , it is no big deal either; why my suggestion to email before snagging.

Have a lovely week now - can you believe it is half way through September (for me it is nearly)! My birthday soon too; I'm getting rather old :(

Lind,

Both The English Witch and Last Days of Summer were waiting for me when I got back from vacation yesterday. The English Witch has some damage to the very bottom of the front cover and the bottom corner of the front cover is torn. Last Days of Summer seems to have had a disagreement with our postal service. The spine and the top right corner of the back cover look like they were twisted a bit (maybe in a sorting machine?). The envelope was damaged as well, so I think the condition was fine when the owner sent it. It is totally readable, but I can refund some points if you'd like. I'm turtlegirl on BM and I'll reserve them both in your name.

Kristin
Lind - I have found another book to help out with my other 'angel' mooch - if you are up for it??

I really want to help you out with points to cost ratio, so this should be a thin one too!!! :))

Let me know if it is OK?

~Lyn
Hi Lind,

I Angel mooched these two books for you, but I hadn't heard from you yet. Just wondering if you still want them.

Thanks. I always feel guilty when someone sends something airmail and then I don't even read it for a month or two! Are the daffodils out yet? That seemed to be the most cheerful sign of spring there, here not so much. Here they're planted in sad, occasional little clumps instead of in great sweeps of yellow. Also, I miss roundabouts, except for those on the Oxford ring road.
Thank you! Please don't hurry, I think it will come as no surprise to you if I tell you that there are several books on my shelves (and on a tall stack next to the bed) that I haven't read. Would you also please send it via surface mail?
Thank you, thank you! I am currently addicted to dark Scandinavian crime novels, so thank you for helping me get this one. Are you in Oxford? I recently spent two years living just outside of Wantage.
Your books have all arrived! I've listed them in the system and reserved them for you:

Hello there! Two of the mooches I'm angel-ing for you have been accepted, but one of the senders has been ill and won't be able to get her book sent for a couple of weeks, possibly. Would you like me to wait and send all three books together, or send the first two when I get them and then send the third along afterwards?

Let me know, and have a great day!
--Amy.
Thanks for accepting my friend invitation. We have an interesting overlap of books, but not too much. That gives me lots of new authors to check out, which wouldn't be the case if our libraries were too similar.
