About meI'm 31-ish, I live in Manchester in the UK with my husband and our gorgeous daughter (yes, she's on LibraryThing too). I'm a midwife, but I'm on maternity leave at the moment (yay!!). Other than reading, I enjoy knitting and cross stitch, and baking - all with varying degrees of success.

In 2008 I'll be taking part in the 50 Book Challenge (but only for 25 books) and I'm a member of a few other groups as well. I'm also going to make more of an effort to review some of the books I've read, even if it's only a couple of sentences.

I have a blog at http://www.littlerach.co.uk, and I also keep a blog for my daughter at http://www.veggie-baby.co.uk

About my libraryMy library on LibraryThing contains all the books I've read (well, all the ones I can remember), plus some of the ones that I've bought and am waiting to read. I used to live in Leeds where the public libraries are beyond useless, so I used to buy a lot of books. Now I've moved, our libraries are fantastic, and so I tend to borrow more than I buy. The 'library' tag indicates that I've borrowed the book; the 'donated' tag indicates that I've donated the book to a charity shop; and the 'owned' tag indicates that this book is currently sitting on a shelf somewhere in my house.

Hope you are not too startled by my list - it is just one bookcase so far and I have 5 more to go including one full of chick lit! I am a bit of a history and folklore buff.
Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:
