About meI write books about science and nature for young readers, including Tracking Trash: Flotsam, Jetsam, and the Science of Ocean Motion (Houghton Mifflin, 2007) and The Hive Detectives: Chronicle of a Honey Bee Catastrophe (Houghton Mifflin, 2010). My most recent book, an introduction to and celebration of citizen science, was published by Henry Holt in 2012.
