About meI work in computers doing support, web design and database maintenance. Studying towards a M.A. in Digital Media where the focus is on online education. My thesis will hopefully be on the way postgraduate students use the web for literature searches.

Read in many areas. From pedagogy to science fiction to serious fiction to qualitative research to theology.

About my libraryI consider myself very fortunate in that books are attracted to me. Many is the time I have gone to a fete and walked away with free books or books which were marked down to clear five minutes before I arrived.

Yes. I checked and it's still there. Re-read the previous sentence because it contains a clue to your mistake.

To assist you in your future efforts to understand and practice good writing, I have posted reviews of *Woe Is I* and *On Writing Well*.
Your condemnation of *The Elements of Style* has a misspelling.
Thanks for the tip, Loyola. I might have a look at those Hurley books if I come across them.

Cheers!
John
I know Katherine Kurz as an author I've been intending to read... but I've not managed to find book 1 on days when I feel like starting a new series, and she doesn't ssem to write much standalone work?
"Deryni group"

I don't think I know these - unless it's the race in David Gemmell's Legend? I know there are a few books he wrote featuring these but I've only read 2, and those sometime ago. If it's not Gemmell who is the author?
I've found and joined your two new groups because they seem fun. However many people just don't discover new groups amoungst the miriad that already exist, so feel free to invite those who seem to share the joys on various talk threads.
