About my libraryMy goal is to include everything that I've ever read, as well as the books (ever increasing in number) in our house that I expect to read. For many years I've kept records of books that I've read in various journals that are scattered around here and there, and thought that it would be fun to have a list in one place. And it prevents the buying of books that I already own or have read! So far, I have found only my lists from 1989 on, so am trying to remember the others. Of course I also add library books as I read them and new books as I receive them.

I try to assign one tag only. If I have read a book, I rate it, unless I don't remember it well enough for a rating. I also don't rate Buddhist masters' books.

I've read a lot in my long life. Books that I have definitely read include an asterisk with the tag. The 'Unfinished' collection is mostly for books that I've started or looked at and decided against, although there are some good ones there that I truly haven't finished yet.

I have a brief movie list started in July 2008, and brief listings for fitness videos that I own.

I'm also adding records for my opera videos.

I love to add more books and to look at other people's libraries and reviews.

One thing I notice is that there are a lot of books that I read many years ago and would like to read again. So many books, so little time.
