About meI work in a public high school as a data specialist. I've worked in a public school setting for 19 years in different capacities.

I love reading and learning. My newest interest is in the Medieval time period and castles/castle life. I've just started studying the Irish Celtic language.

Hobbies -- working with paper crafts such as quilling, scrapbooking, making cards, rubberstamping. I'm a wee obsessed with paper... I'm very interested in celtic knotwork and hope to start working on that, also.

About my libraryFor the most part my LibraryThing bookshelf consists of historical, erotica, paranormal, and fantasy romance. I also have some scifi/fantasy and general fiction. I am slowly adding craft, gardening/herbal, cookbooks, history and celtic books.

"A Book

THERE is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!"
— Emily Dickinson
We had several books in common. I am just getting into this and mainly just inputting at the moment. Haven't gone "live " yet, (still private) till I figure out how all this works.
Hi Linda --

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. I was in San Francisco at the Romance Writers National Convention. Exciting in the extreme. I met more people in two hours than I meet in two years at home. I am entirely strung out.

I am so glad you like My Lord and Spymaster. What kind things you say. Thank you. I am trying to balance strength with vulnerability. It's so great when somebody sees what I'm up to and says it works.

I see you have one of my books, One Heart One Way. I hope you liked it. I have five all together. One Heart One Way was my second. The fifth, Druid Quest, will come out August 1st. They're The Fox Prince, One Heart One Way, Danger Is Sweet, The Vixen Princess, and Druid Quest. I have a paranormal romantic comedy novella (a funny/celtic vampire story) coming in October, called A Fine Cauldron of Fish.
Hey Linda, I tell you what, shall we race each other in A Suitable Boy?! Haha...I think I will struggle to be honest! I recently finished Sacred Games and that was so long. *sigh* i'm a bit loathed to go straight into another one.
Linda,
You've come to the right place!! I'm also on Goodreads.com and have almost 100 reviews listed there, many of them on erotica. If I had time, I'd transfer them all here...oh well, maybe one day. I'm like you, I need to feel a connection between the characters. If it's not there, it's just porn!

Hello Linda,
Thanks for tagging my library. What peaked your interest?

Hi Linda --

I am so glad you enjoyed Spymaster's Lady. I love it when folks read my characters and bring my books to life.

My Lord and Spymaster will be out in July. It's Sebastian and Jessamyn's story. They're they're international merchants, picking up a living on the fringes of Napoleon's Europe. They've been dealing with Adrian's organization for years.
Then Sebastian accuses Jess's father of treason.

Adrian appears as a secondary character and Doyle has a small role.

The story I'm working on now is Doyle and Maggie's story. France. The Terror.

Hi Linda,

Thanks for bringing that SEP book to my attention. A friend bought me all those books because she loved them so much, and there they are, languishing in my to be read pile.

Hello Linda, I am a newbie here, but recognized immediately that we share a keen interest in our reading. I am completely enamored with all things Scottish, especially medieval romance (Kurland and Givens). I see that you have read some authors that are new to me. I will have to check those out as well. I actually live in the mid-Atlantic area and taught history for 30 years so am very interested all things historical, as well. That is why Diana Gabaldon really draws me in from the Scot's and early American aspect. I'll be checking in with your list periodically on the look out for more great reads! Have a lovely Sunday afternoon!
