About me"Homo sum: humani nil a me alienum puto." Terrence (190 - 159 BC)

I teach archaeology and ancient art history. In my "spare" time, I travel, do research, publish, play music in two bands, dj/organize a weekly nightclub event, and try to have a social life.

About my libraryI'm in the process of relocating, and after that, I'll add more books and my wife's library (mainly anthropology and linguistics).

Marvelous library ! - after a first movement of envy, I have strengthened my resolution to obtain at least some of the books you have...
I like your Terence quote. Eloquent. Out of curiosity, have you read Everitt's Cicero bio? Your quote reminded me of the Augustan quote he used to finish the book. In itself, the quote isn't much, but after the portrait Everitt paints, it is touching. Vale.
Hmmm... A friend of mine stumbled upon you and asked if we knew each other. I think that we do not, although perhaps we should.
Wow, I'd love to have you show me around ancient Greek sites sometime -- what a collection of books you have! And yes, The Flight of Ikaros is wonderful; while it was still available I used to keep an extra copy around to use as a gift.
