About meOriginally from Arizona, I have lived in Paris for 25 years. Before becoming a writer I worked for many years in high tech. My first book, "Sorbonne Confidential," was published in French by Fayard in 2007. It will be coming out in English (Summertime) in February 2009. My second novel, called "Professeur Collie's Barbarian Dreams," is slated to appear in French on January 14, 2009 under the title "Les RĂªves Barbares du Professeur Collie" (Fayard).
About my libraryMichael Chabon, Philippe Roth, Michael Pollan, Harukami, Daniel Mendelsohn, Oliver Sacks, Bill Bryson, David Sedaris, Douglas Adams, John Kennedy Toole, memoir, history, humor, campus novels...Many great things !

The soul that rises with us, our life's star,
Hath had elsewhere it's setting, and cometh from afar;
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come.
From God, who is our home."
William Wordsworth
