Hello! Your review of 'The Passage' perfectly captures the agony I am currently in at the moment, only 35% (on my Kindle) into the 'story'. I borrowed the book in hardback from my library, but gave myself wrist strain and had to return it anyway, so I thought, 'I'll cough up for a digital copy, because it's such a fantastic novel that everyone is raving about, right?' Wrong. I really cannot dredge up the enthusiasm to continue - I've read about four other books in the mean time. Is it really worth persevering with?

On a tangent, one of the books I *did* read is another vampire novel - 'Dracula the Undead' by Freda Warrington, which I definitely recommend as a sequel to Stoker's novel.

Anyway, thank you for voicing my inner struggle with Cronin's masterpiece! I'm glad there are others who don't think it's worth the ink (printed or virtual) *or* the paper it's printed on.
Thanks for the great review of The Raven's Gift!
