About mePhysician, researcher, medical educator -- and lifelong reader.

About my libraryThis is the library of books my husband and I actually own (our canine doesn't own any books, as she has rather steadfastly refused to learn to read, but we have high hopes for her new feline companion...).

At some point I will either enter the rest of our many duplicates (mainly Canadian classics) or give them away.

Other categories of books owned but not yet entered (so much to do, so little time) include the majority of our mysteries, science fiction/fantasy books, and medical textbooks.

i've got a monumental task on my hands, lots of manual cataloging with pre-ISBN/ISSN books that aren't in libraries anyway.

if you want to, i certainly give you leave to play around with my vogue knitting magazines. i'm not sure what the consensus is on them since the title and publisher changed over time. i erred on the side of caution and entered them under their actual titles. i have also emended all the entries for my contemporary copies that i pulled off of amazon and they now have the same author, "Editors of vogue knitting international magazine". however, for the older incarnations of the magazine (pre 'international') i entered them under an appropriate author, "Editors of Vogue Knitting Book" or "Editors of Vogue Knitting". when i looked up the old issues of vogue knitting on the system the author attributions are all over the place, so it may be a lost cause.
