About meI am an author, librarian, and book reviewer. I am on the Kansas Reading Circle, which means I get copies of most newly published Young Adult literature, so that is what I'm reading lately.
I have one published book, Haggerty's Curse, website: www.auldcountrybooks.com

About my libraryI have an extensive collection on my two favorite subjects - Ireland, and the American Civil War(specifically the Irish contribution to it). I have done lots of research on Thomas Francis Meagher, the commander of the Irish Brigade of the Army of the Potomac.

Wow, 14 books per week! I like reading YA literature, and they're usually pretty quick reads, but I don't think I could keep up that pace for very long. More power to you.

I'm a librarian in Chandler, AZ. I moved to Arizona right after graduating from KU, so I'm pretty much an Arizonan now, but you never forget your roots. I grew up on a farm outside of Wichita, near Clearwater, so I'm familiar with the Derby area. In fact, my brother works in Derby, or just outside of it.

I'm not familiar with the Kansas Reading Circle. I'll have to Google it and see if there is a similar Arizona program I can share with our librarians. Not that they need more work :-)
Marsha--
I just read your post to Read YA Lit regarding "It's a Mall World." That one's on my to-be-read list, as soon as my library gets it. I think Janette Rallison is one of those under-appreciated authors that just keeps getting better. She's a local author, too, and has spoken at our library. I like her sense of humor.

Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi" and welcome to Librarything. We don't seem to share any books, but we do have a couple other tenuous connections. We're both librarians, and then there's the Kansas thing. I grew up near Wichita and graduated from KU (many years ago).
Go Jayhawks!
