About me I am the author of four young adult books, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, A Room on Lorelei Street, Scribbler of Dreams, and David v. God. I live in San Diego, CA with my husband, daughter, and two golden retrievers.

About my library I will read just about anything, but obviously being a writer of YA lit I also enjoy reading a lot of it as well. I enjoy any kind of fiction that deals with complicated relationships--especially family ones. I also read every book I can get my hands on about writing. And of course books that deal with faith are of great interest to me too--and science and faith. And I love poetry too and I often reread the classics, admiring the skill of saying so much with so little. Maybe that is why I am drawn to YA literature--it seems to be story pared down to its necessary essence.

I loved Scribbler Of Dreams.
It was amazing.
Just wanted to tell you that I read "Scribbler of Dreams" not to long ago and enjoyed it. It did make me wish for a sequel, as I thought some of the ends weren't wrapped up completely. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us!
Hello, Mary! I just finished The Adoration of Jenna Fox this afternoon -- a one-day read, it was so compelling. Loved A Room on Lorelei Street, too. I'm a bookseller from Vermont, and it's great to be able to tell you how much I enjoyed Adoration. A truly marvelous, thought-provoking book. I fired off a review to my fellow New England booksellers. We'll be looking forward to recommending it to readers. Congratulations on a fine new book! Elizabeth B.
