About me"Me" is really "us". We are a couple who have been married for 18 years. Both of us are bookworms and many of our tastes overlap. We also each have fields of interest that are independent of the other's.
We are both interested in geocaching, horseback riding, stargazing and photography and both of us like cats and dogs about equally. One of us is a librarian the other is an electrical engineer specializing in automated control systems.
One of us is from Kansas, the other grew up in Michigan where we now live.
About my libraryOur library is the result of a merger of two libraries which had developed independently over a period of 25-30 years and then were merged when we got married. Where duplicates existed, they were weeded out unless there were compelling reasons to keep both copies.
We have everything from hard science and mathematics to science fiction to mystery and history to westerns and general fiction. There are college textbooks from one person's history major and the other's electrical engineering major (with a minor in astronomy and astrophysics).
We have a fair number of first editions, many of them are signed and/or inscribed by the author or illustrator. Some of them are old, some are of recent vintage.
