About meMy two favourite passions are traveling and reading! So what could be better than combining the two and reading books about traveling and different places in the world? This is why I have been reading more and more travel books lately. Another connection is that I like to visit places associated with my favourite authors. So far I have visited Oxford, Warwick, Leeds and Bournemouth (J.R.R. Tolkien), Bath, Chawton, Lyme Regis and Winchester (Jane Austen) and Haworth and Scarborough (Bronte sisters).

Next stops: Thailand, Singapore, Australia!

About my libraryApart from travel books I read about many other topics. I admire and love everything Tolkien and am an avid collector of his books and any secondary literature. I also have particular interest in 19th century woman writers and when finishing my masters degree in German and English Studies I wrote my final thesis on George Eliot and the Bronte sisters.
As with most members of LibraryThing, there are many more topics I like to read about and genres I enjoy, and my library reflects this.
