About meI'm an English teacher in TN but am from the Southwest. As a result of living in the west I love many cultures. I rarely find time to read for pleasure unless it is work related. Summer time I usually take in a novel each week. My goal is to pass on a love of thinking and questioning to others. I hope this translates into a life of reading.

About my libraryI try to read for pleasure but as an English teacher I also have to read core classics that influence what I teach and how literature has evolved. So, you'll find all kinds of classics on my book shelf but what I really love is non-fiction biographies and memoirs and today's latest fiction in the stores, and the occasional historical fiction.

No point necessary. Used BM as a conduit. Book is coming from another source.

Best,
Irene
How many copies of Brave New World do you still need?
I'm still talking about it, too! What a great day that was.
Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

But you had already left so if I have the chance I'll stop by wednesday between my classes or maybe Thursday before I go in!!! I hope they let me in the building!!! See you soon! Thank you for reporting that "request/demand" contract on member giveaway. As I understand it the Early Reviewers program requires a review, but not the member giveaway. It will be interesting to see what others think.

A Little Song of Life

GLAD that I live am I;
That the sky is blue;
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.

After the sun the rain;
After the rain the sun;
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.

All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow
Nearer the sky.

I am at the moment reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I am wanting to start reading Watership Down by Richard Adams as my third nine weeks classic novel.
So far I really love Briar Rose . It makes me think a little bit, but at the same time I can comprehend what I'm reading. Like my favorite part of the book is when they are going through Gemma's box that she left in the nursing home and how they never knew anything about the box and pictures. The book gets more interesting as I continue to read it
Mrs Stansbury,
This is Johnnise, I am reading my semester book that you assigned the honors classes and I just wanted to know since my book wasn't on the list did I have to type up chapter essays and send them to you or do I just write a over all book review.
i already started the chapter reviews and I didn't want to get to in depth and mess it up.
How do I leave my book review on this website? You can do two things- one if you just want your review private post it in the 'comments' section of your library. If you want the review public click on the 'pencil' you'll see it on the right- and once you've selected it scroll down to the section that says 'book review.' Paste or type in this field an then 'save' at the bottom. Your review will then be made pubic. It is important that you go to 'your settings' and select how your reviews can be used they have a few options. We'll go over this is August and I will not expect you to master this site until I've demonstrated it in class.

This link below is where you can find directions on how to review using this website.

So a lot of you are thinking- how do I write a book review. While this link is not written out in the most user friendly fashion- if you look it over you'll get a feel for what a review should have and you'll also see directions for an extra credit assignment I do with my regular students. Northwest High Library Review Format
Thanks! This site is really interesting; I've never seen or heard of anything like it.
Hi! Just wanted to say thanks for choosing me as one of your interesting libraries - v. flattering. I enjoyed reading the comments you wrote on the books in your library.
