About meI enjoy sports, reading and gardening. I read mysteries primarily. I write book reviews (primarily audio reviews) for Mystery News, which is owned by Chris Aldrich and Lynn Kaczmarek. I met them back in 1994 on the Compuserve Literary Forum where we were discussing James Lee Burke's BLACK CHERRY BLUES, and food in mysteries.

About my libraryMy library is actually a combined library with my wife. We both read primarily mystery and crime fiction and me, usually on the hardboiled, grittier side. My wife is on the cozier side. I also enjoy taking a break from mysteries now and then, and reading histories or biographies. However, if I should be so foolish as to not have a book near by, I have also been known to read cereal boxes, warranty notices, and computer software or website terms of usage. Needless to say, I always try to keep a book nearby, on paper or audio.

Noticed you liked Die A Little, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also gritty, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit.

Hello, David - Greetings fm a former Odentonian, where the kids will tell you that Odenton spelled backwards is "Noten (ta) Do" - well, almost. We lived in Four Seasons and Chapelgate for 21 years. Retired now in MI, writing my memoirs and other stuff. Ain't this LT site great?! - Tim
Nice to see you here! How neat that you and your spouse span the mystery spectrum.
