hello n11284
delighted to hear of stephen stills' neverflagging magick. i saw rodney crowell at the belly up tavern in solana beach last night and he was at the top of his form. i'm new to the computer world so i can't tell you how exiting it is to wake up in the morning to a little note from the emerald isle. as your countryman james a joyce sd. abt. onan-ism--the amazing availability of it!!!
Have you ever heard of Claire Tomalin's biography on Thomas Hardy?
Oh yes, thanks John, I knew about this book. I wish I would have time to read it. My problem is now how to cope with time for reading. My TBR pile is growing higher and higher, but The Plot should be a really good book. At least I read good reviews on it.
Dear N11284,

Thank you for your reply. Joyce is a complete mystery to me. I have to solve it one day. I couldn't understand Ulysses in English, and when I turned to the new translation into French which was done last year or the year before, I found it as cryptic as the original version.

Do you read Maupassant in French? Delicious reading.

Yours
Dear N11284, (is it the code of your credit card?)
Interesting to read that this is your 5th attempt to understand Ulysses, and your 1st success. How could you do it? With a companion volume giving all the keys? With a fully annotated copy? I and most of my connections acknowledge complete failure. Please give your secret.
