Pillars of the Earth, well I liked it. I think it was the main character's integrity that really appealed to me.

re: Reviews - Hahaha! My 'reviews' aren't so much reviews as listings of favorite quotes. LOL. And for heaven's sakes they're for ME just like my travel logs. They're just to jog my (awful) memory. And I don't worry about how 'good' anything I do is anymore. If I did I couldn't get out of bed in the morning. Besides words are so malleable these days.

Wouldn't it be nice if instead of just listing books people would write about them? Say where they got the recommendation or why it's intriguing?

I don't get the challenge threads about I'm going to read N books in X amount of time. Is it about quantity?

I'm brainstorming a personal challenge where I review every book I read. It's been making reading a richer experience so far.

I see you're reading Ken Follett. I've only read 'Pillars of the Earth', I really liked it. Why is it history only makes sense in retrospect? Is it because we forget the irrelevant bits?
