About meMy name is Jacki, 42 years old and I am a Married Mom of 2 boys, 4 yrs and 2 1/2. Can't find a lot of time to read right now but that doesn't keep my TBR pile from growing!
I live in the Pacific Northwest of Washington state and love love love it. To much rain people say? Nah, just gives me a great excuse to stay in, curl up on a comfy couch and find myself escaping to some great place in a book.
About my libraryI am drawn to mostly Fiction books. I will read anything except horror (or graphic mysteries) & sci-fi.
I am a huge sucker for series books though! Romance is at the top of my list, and I just got hooked on the Stephanie Meyer "Twilight" vampire series and I LOVED them! I read all three books in 3 weeks which is very good for a full time working mom of 2 small boys. Now a whole new "genre" has opened up for me - "paranormal"! I really love anything except for blood, guts and gore, which you can see as my library is all over the place in "genre's".
I am LOVING this site. It lets me catalog my library and I love the option LibraryThing has that let's me see the covers!!

I am not as much into the vampire "romance" as some people. I like a little of it and some of the series that I got into weren't originally romance but have turned more that way. One I have been reading for a long time is Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, you may have heard of this one it's pretty popular, the first book is Guilty Pleasures. The books start out more along the lines of kick butt female private detective sort (she actually raises the dead for testimonies in court, and then puts them back in the grave when she's done, of course ;-) There are about 15 in the series and now it's taken a more erotica turn, there is ALOT of sex... the middle books were pretty romantic without so much sex.. but I keep reading because I am invested in the characters.. One I am loving right now, is The Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison, the first book is Dead Witch Walking, the main character is a witch bounty hunter, her business partner and roommate is a female vampire and she dates a wizard and then a vampire (who is beyond sexy) LOL Also, The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris starts with Dead until Dark, I think as far as romance goes, this one is the best. I just read the first in a new to me series, Kitty and the Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn it was pretty good..
I also like Keri Arthur she does both a vampire & Werewolf paranormal romance series. Oh and The Women of the Underworld series by Kelly Armstrong, first book is Bitten, it is about a werewolf but the next books are about different character who all know one another, a couple are about a witch, a couple about a vampire.. For something cute and funny, try Christopher Moore's Love at First Bite and the sequel, You Suck: a Love Story.
I know a lot of paranormal romance readers really like Christine Feehan, but I didn't care for them, a little too much "swooning" and "burning" for him/her for my taste. Also, The Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series is very popular, again I wasn't that thrilled with them but it doesn't mean you won't be. There are a ton of other authors that I haven't tried because I am pretty sure they are more romantic than I want, Shannon Drake, Emma Holly, Lindsay Sands, Amanda Ashley, Tate Holloway. If you search my library with the tag "vampire" or "paranormal" you will find a whole slew of books that are in my TBR that I haven't had time to read but have collected based on recommendations from people who like the same kind of paranormal books that I like. Hope that helps and doesn't give you more info than you wanted.. LOL

I went nuts with this site when I first joined.. I was addicted too and ended up putting all of my books, over 1500, into the system.. It took me about two weeks of nights and weekends but I got it done and now I just put new ones in there as I get them.. It makes me feel so organized.. Although I know for a fact that some of them have slipped past without getting logged into LT so I will end up buying those again... That was one of the features I loved so much about LT, you can make sure you don't buy duplicates, which I am famous for.. I can look my LT library up on my cell phone when I am shopping and make sure I don't have a book before i buy it.. The more I get the harder it is to remember what I have and what I don't.. I try to only buy stuff on my Amazon wishlist, because I know I don't have those..
Have fun.
