That does look like a good one, thanks for the recommendation.
Thundercats!!! wierdo
How is the bookstore going? I'll try to make it a point to find you. I live out in the Sandhills, but I toodle through Omaha on a regular basis - grandbabies live in Council Bluffs! I found you by checking out mluszcak when I say she was from Nebraska. Good luck with the new business. Mary Lou
Everything is good here. Single now. Not a bad thing though. Thanksgiving was good, just visited with my father. How was your New Years? Good I hope. Mine was pretty fun. Was with a few of my friends, we had a good time. I would agree that is a good reason for backing out. Hopefully all will be well and you can resume your plans soon. Well, time to add some new books I received throughout the winter holidays.
Oh no. It is a tough economy right now. Everything will work out for the best. At the very least, right now, you can say you tried.
There is allmakes in omaha that sells used bookcases. I would go to auctions and stuff. Otherwise I would say wholesale is the way to go if you are wanting them to be all the same. Or IKEA. You can never go wrong with IKEA.
Wow, that is awesome!!! I will try and see if I can find a good resource for book shelves. Maybe we can find a second hand business store or something.
Wow! Nice!
Sounds like fun! well I have never tore down walls, nor have I tiled, but I will sure try!
Wow, that is most generous of you. Like I said before, when you start working on the place let us know and we will try and make time to come and help. We are in the process of looking for a new apartment, so that has been taking up quite a bit of time. Deposits are a killer.
Hey, we actually ended up not going. Money was really tight and I guess there wasn't enought time to advertise or something. I am not sure. That is so awesome that you are opening a book store!! I am so jealous. I would love to open a place, but we aren't going to be in Omaha for probably more than a year. But, Tyler and I would love to help you set it up. I thinka mix of used and new is a good idea. I think if you sell used, and then sell the top sellers of new books you would be good. And then have the option of ordering new or used books would be great. You will need a good website as well. Let me talk with Tyler some more and see if we have any more ideas. But seriously let us know when you are going to be working on the store and we will come and help.
I promise I am not avoiding you guys! We will be out of town. Tyler's softball team is going to play my little sister's team for a charity event.
Oh my gosh! I totally would but I have to work from 11 to 7. Next Saturday though, we should go to dinner somewhere. Around 7:30 or so? You pick the place.
Oh were very drunk! Luckily I have never gotten very drunk. I just turned 21 though! I finally finished school for the year. I still need to take 2 summer classes, but..that is way better than a full load.
Lol. No, it is going to be Wicked. I have a few reviews on LT that I need to revamp, and then I will post them to my blog. I really appreciate you giving me feedback. I normally would not do anything like this, but I thought I would challenge myself and try. As if I don't already have enough to do, I added this to my life. Hopefully as I continue to work on it, I will get more readers and more feedback. I would be more than happy to add any books to my reading list. It's quite a long list, but I would definately eventually get to it, lol. Have you ever read Wicked? I know it not much your style, but man, it is pretty good. It is kind of at a stall right now, but i have a feeling it is going to get really good again here in a few pages. Anyways, talk to you later!
I saw those sites. Those are both really cool. The site is liek I'm actually on BookMooch. I had to create a new account recently though. Both really cool sites though! I will have to make sure I tell Tyler about the DVDSwap site. He will really like that.
Yep! Thats me! And thank you for the positive feedback! I really appreciate it. Like I said, it is a work in progress, but hopefully I will get it going more in the summer.
Oh no, you don't have to give us your number. Honestly, I hate the phone. Anxiety or something. It could possibly be a phobia, lol. Yeah, i think you had to of been a Dark Knight fan beforehand to really really like it. The cult book sounds very interesting! Tyler and I are also very democratic. If you couldn't tell by the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert books.

Also, I started a book blog. It's nothing great I don't think, but maybe you could stop by and just tell me what you think. Tell me if I should be doing something I am not. There aren't very many posts yet, but I'm trying to update it as fast as I can. Anyway, feel free to tell me if it sucks! But, tell me why it sucks, that would be good.
I will probably get beaten, but I didn't love Dark Knight. I mean it was good, but definately wasn't obsessed like everyone else seemed to be. Ok, well then I will put those two books on my Must-Read list. I read Killing Hour by Lisa Gardner. It was really good. I realized pretty fast that there were books before that one which really bothered me, I like to read series(es?) in order.
Oh cool! Have you read them yet? You will have to let me know how they are! We ate at Panera today and were just thinking, "we really need to set up a time to meet with them". It has been crazy busy lately, with MidTerms and whatnot. Tyler really wants to see the Watchmen, I am sure we will see it soon. How has it been going? Well, I hope!
Yeah, Tyler and I have both been really busy. School is starting to get pretty busy especially with Spring Break coming, teachers are trying to fit everything in. Tler just got a second job so he is hardly ever home. Craziness! Hopefully things will settle down soon. We really need to get together sometime. I know I need to pick a date and time first!
I met Tyler a week before I went away for college. We went on a couple dates in August of 2006. Our anniversary is the 13th. We had a long distance relationship for about 6 months. We were close enough he could visit on weekends, but it killed me when he had to leave. We got engaged this past November, and we have no idea when we are actually going to get married. I still have to finish getting my degree, and then we are moving for my Graduate degree. So..not too much time for a wedding. I work at an OfficeMax for now, and he works at Borders and KETV7.

We found another good cataloging site for movies today.
Tyler likes Horror movies. Me, not so much. I've been with Tyler for over two years, and in that time has been the only real time I've watched movies. I haven't really mastered the film scene yet. And so far, horror movies just scare me. I can't really enjoy them. I'm a thriller/mystery person. I like horror books though, if that makes up for anything, lol.

I will get back with you when we can get together. We like Panera, but we can eat anywhere, so if you have any suggestions, we are game.
Wanna know something really funny. The Spoon River recommendation you gave me, I actually was in a play from that. It was amazing.

I will definately check those other books out though! I will have to get back with you on when, Tyler just got a new job so we have no idea what our schedule will be for a couple weeks. Are there times that are best for you guys? That might be easier.
I had no idea about the movie! I will definately have to get that. That's amazing! I can imagine it is a little cheesy.

By fiance, Tyler, has all the Kevin Smith movies, other than Zak an Mira, and I'm sure we will have that really soon.

This sounds really awkward, but I feel I should ask. Would you and your girlfriend like to meet up sometime and just get something to eat? Just like lunch at Panera or something. We are both pretty new here and don't know a whole lot of people, let alone people who share common interests.
Kevin Smith is the man!
Ok, so I noticed that you had DVD Aficionado as one of your links. My finace is obssessed with movies so I was going to check it out for him, and I noticed you had a whole section of Kevin Smith. I pretty sure you guys were meant for each other. Lol. Anyways, just thought it was funny.
Wow, awesome! I didn't know you knew each other. I guess I didn't really pay too much attention. Obviously I love James Patterson. I have quite a few of his books, but honestly I have read only a few of the ones I own, I have read more of his older works. I agree though, The Women's Murder club ones are really great. The earlier Alex Cross ones are really good. The newer ones are a little..I guess simpler I think. Dean Koontz is absolutely amazing! Door to December is my favorite. I'm looking forward to finishing the Odd Thomas series. I have only rad the first two. I haven't read the book you mentions, I will have to look it up. See if they have it at the library. I have actually just started ready Douglas Preston. I read Still Life with Crows some time ago and didn't realize it was part of a series. So I read Relic, and even though it is the same series it is so much different. I heard that he picks up a character and follows them, and then switches characters again. I think I really like that. I need to read Reliquary next. I own Brimstone, so hopefulyl I can get there soon. As always, there are just too many books to choose from!
I think I may have read your post wrong. Were you suggesting Rollins, or wanting to know about him? He's a great writer, his characters tend to belong to the miltary, but they're very fast paced and fun. Lots of the weird, but then he fills in the cracks with truth. Sorry if I misunderstood you.
I've already read Rollins, multiple times :O) Thanks though! I've actually rediscovered the library (I unfortunatly work right next door to a Borders). It's a lot easier to pick up books your not sure about, if you don't have to pay for them. But when you're shelling out $15.00 every couple of days and not really liking it, I tend to get a bit desperate for good suggestions.
It does seem that they have their own very unique style and stories. I'm really not that picky on what I read, but I have so much time to do it, I feel I'm running out of books. My work right now is VERY slow, so I basically get 8hrs a day, not including home time, to sit and read.
Hello. I noticed you liked Preston/Child and was wondering if you could suggest other authors of the same style.
Hello, how are you? I got 3/4 through Devil's Knot, then watched a documentary on them and then kinds knew more so I didn't finish, but yes it was good. Rule's got me-always have one going with her. I'm on Heart Full of Lies and also Dead by Sunset, both by her, currently and just haven't gotten on Green River and Stranger Besides Me. I just recently hit gold at my public library and their end of summer clearance and got like 40 hardcovers for $.50 each-Total steal. I took a look at your collection of books. How long have you been an reader? It is funny, I hated reading cause I would always speed read and forget the less important aspects that later end up being more important than initially thought, then I bought American Terrorist Tim McVeigh and couldn't put it down. I do stay more to the liking of true crime and non-fiction. Spend alot of time on History Channel and Court TV-If it has forensics/murder I'm hooked. My friends and family thing I'm sick, lol, but they know better. My library is small but growing and I should really spend more time reading them than catologing them in my anal retentive ways, hehe. Well thanks for hitting me up, have a great weekend.
Hey handsome! I can't believe I can catalog cookbooks!! Woo hoo!
