Dear Roger,

Robert Dean Frisbie's brother Charles Frisbie was my cello teacher in Los Altos, California, when I was a kid. Charles was enormously proud of his brother's adventures, and had copies of all Robert's books. He shared a lot of the stories with me during my music lessons. Much later I found my copy of Puka Puka in a little shop in Hawaii when I was on a vacation there. How did you happen on to this author?
Hi Roger! It was so nice to hear from someone with an interest in one of my books. I'm afraid I buy up as much Oklahoma history as I can. I'm a history major and I love my state. I'm afraid I'm not interested in any tribe in particular. But I have a great respect for all Native Americans. They have had (and still do) a great influence in OK.
Roger, thank you for the note(s), I enjoyed the Tom Neale tale years ago, and then stumbled on "my" book afterwards. I did not know, or had forgotten, his link with Frisbie. I just saw a pretty good source of info at: http://www.janesoceania.com/suvarov_tom_... and now realize I should get my copy of "The Forgotten One" down and read it, I never have.

The name M.F.K. Fisher is somewhat familiar but I do not recall what I might have read by her.

Good luck on getting your books in LT, I was obsessed in doing so for awhile and then paused...now need to finish getting everything in.
Argonut
Dear Roger, LT is full of wonderful discoveries. I have lots of books and articles on Indian history -- maybe you'll find other things that intrigue you. Also, have you seen The Creek Bibliography, http://www.rhus.com/Creeks.html ? We also seem to share a taste for Dorothy Sayers. I think I would pick Gaudy Night or The Nine Tailors as my favorite Sayers book. What's yours?
