If you do find them again, Donaldson's works are generally quite worthwhile as re-reads. He has such complicated plots its difficult to remember all the details and the vivid language is always enjoyable - even if it's not to everyone's taste.
Just curious about your username - I had assumed it was taken from Stephen Donaldson's fortress of the same name in the Thomas Covenant books, as was about to invite you to the Revelstone group, but then I checked and you haven't cataloged them, so I guess your name isn't from there afterall. And now I'm just curious/nosy as to where it is from?
