About me

I LOVE ....laughing and spending time with my 2 adult sons, and marvel at the extraordinary, handsome young men they've grown to. Hot coffee (black, please) in the morning, homemade cookies, chocolate, going to the movies, going out for dinner, tulips, puppies, sleeping in on Sundays, new clothes, of course new shoes, cooking, listening to music, long walks, watching a movie on a rare afternoon, practicing yoga (hot), summer days, adore used book sales, popcorn, bonfires, airports, hot chocolate on a cold day, traveling, going for ice cream, the beach, thunderstorms, fireworks, homemade soup, catching up with old friends and making new ones, my book club, succeeding at work and living life.

About my libraryHistorical fiction is always a favorite genre for me but I'm always willing to explore other genres as well as to try new authors. LT has been most helpful with this. There are numerous books in my library that I read to and with my sons as they were growing up as well as many favorites from my own childhood. Storytime was precious during those years and remain treasured moments in our memories.

Many of my books are secondhand, happily discovered at used book sales or at library sales. I bring them home and cherish them and there is always a pile stacked by my bedside. Apart from a few select titles, most are given away or donated once I finish them. It's always hard saying good-bye to my new friends, but I like to send them back out into the world so that others may also fall in love. I make time each and every day to read something, even if only for a few precious moments. I'm always happy and open to hear suggestions for something new to read. So please, come on in (the coffee pot is always on), introduce yourself and get comfortable. I look forward to getting to know my fellow "Library-Thingers".
