About me I don't come from a land down under but from a reading family. We are all slightly mad about books - that' why I took up reading when I was about 3 years old. And I haven't stopped since then ;o). Some of my childhood literary friends are still friends today...

I just love books and instead of buying more shelves to put my books on I or we, rather, buy more and more books. Much more sensible, I think...

I almost ended up as a librarian but somehow the path led into another direction and I don't work with books today.

As a reader of mainly English books I'm happy to have online shops like amazon at my disposal - books in foreign languages cost the devil here in Germany and even though the familiy shares some books, a few I just have to have for my own. Well, not just a few, really.

A day without a book is like a lost day for me and without books life would be a dreary thing indeed. Reading will help you meet unusual friends and see new things...

About my library My library is a sort of map to my reading life - bits and pieces from everywhere and everything, that has caught my interest over the years. The main part is fantasy stuff with some classics thrown in as well as some non-fiction and favourites from much younger days and some stuff which is just like cookie - eaten easily and forgotten just as easily. I also include those books here, which I read once but won't read again and those which I loved once but grew out of. Still, for some odd reason I can't part with them...And there will a few books I read and owned but then sold or gave away...
