About meThis collection of books was started as a project by a group in LIS 5433 (Design & Implementation of Web-Based Information Services) at the University of Oklahoma, taught by Dr. Betsy Martens in the fall of 2009. Group members included Mary Parker, Tara Allison, Alexander Gates, and Stacy Morehead. The purpose of this project was to compile a list of 200 library and information studies-related books that would be useful to library school students and graduates who might not have had a chance to take all the classes they wanted. All 200 original books were tagged by group members using vocabulary that was edited for consistency. Each of these books are tagged with the tag "OU SLIS" for easy retrieval.
