I know Mary Oliver being a UU. She is prolific and so appreciate the specific recommendations. I should say that I enjoy Piercy because of the ironic edge in some of her poems being a feminist as she is - I mean that in a good way.

Thank you for the recommendation of the book by Brian Hall that sounds like it would be an inspiration. I have been looking for a poet or poetess with positive views. Have you read works by Marge Piercy? Actually she seems to have mellowed and evidently lives on Cape Cod - another New Englander.
