About meI love to read and write, learn and teach, work and play. I enjoy visiting parks, libraries, and museums, and I do a bit of traveling. Some of my favorite activities are scrapbooking, gardening, orcharding, and cooking.

About my libraryI love reading, and I love books, but I do not actually own most of the books I read. I visit various public libraries in my area on a regular basis, so that's where I get most of my books! I do like to keep a special collection of books, however, such as cookbooks (which I often refer to when preparing home-cooked meals!), piano books (I taught myself how to play simple pieces), and a variety of books on gardening or homesteading (I try to do a bit of edible landscaping). I also keep a collection of books by my favorite authors, such as Nicholas Sparks, R. L. Stine, Roald Dahl, and Amy Tan. And I enjoy Newbery award-winning or honor books, so I have quite a collection of those as well. Other collections include books on spirituality, health, and books on which movies (big screen or TV movies) were based. Oh, and I have a growing collection of Spanish books too!
