- Eclectic, to say the least, it incorporates nature, architecture, Mesoamerican archeology, science fiction and fantasy, spirituality, folklore and storytelling, popular psychology, and lots more. I use books as insulation for my house!

- For 25 years I was head of children's services in a suburban public library, before taking early retirement to pursue a career as an artist. With my late husband, a zoologist, I traveled widely, assisting him and researching 3 books on Caribbean architecture which I wrote and illustrated.
