Thank you, Parker51. I appreciate your advice and the website as well. yangguy
Dear Parker51: It is nice to make your acquaintance. Yes, you're probably correct about the trim being gold filled. That shows just how much of a novice I am with pens. But that is okay. One has got to start somewhere. I'm glad that your Parker still serves you well. One of these days, I suppose that I should try putting some ink in one or more of them. Is there an ink that you recommend? yangguy
Hi Parker51: I suspected that your name meant you are a pen collector. When coming to your LT page, it proved true. I'm an architect and have an appreciation for writing implements. I've bought several fountain pens and a few pencils. I started with an varigated olive green Sheaffer fountain pen, like my maternal grandparents had in their desk drawer in Eugene,Oregon. I haven't figured out what year it is yet. It has Sheaffer stamped in the brass clip, a small brass ring around the opening in the cap, and a brass lever pump on the side. Well, I see that we share three of the same books on pens. Feel free to stop by anytime. yangguy
