About meI started using this as a way to keep track of the things I have read, and have been astonished at how much I have not. Too many big books, rereads, and abandoned books.

About my libraryI am a big fan of libraries, so most of the books in my collection, I don't own, even my favorites. Actually, my favorites are sometimes the ones that go the quickest, even when I do buy them. Once I loaned "A Prayer for Owen Meany" to a friend, who in turn loaned it to another friend, and when he gave it back, he told me that his other friend always eats the last page of all the books she likes. Go figure.

Most of my ratings on my books are 3 1/2 stars and up. This is probably because I think I certainly am pretty good at picking books that I will like, hence the higher ratings. Also, I am pretty finicky when it comes to reading, and if something really isn't thrilling me, I drop it--usually. If I included all of the books that I only partially read (some of which were 3/4 of the way read), there would be hundreds more on my list.

That being said, this is how I rate my books:

1 star= I hated it.
2 stars= I disliked it.
3 stars= I liked it.
4 stars= I liked it a lot.
5 stars= I loved it...It changed my perspective on life and/or reading/writing.

All righty! I finished Fahrenheit 451 yesterday, and I read and finished The Outsiders too. 12 hour car ride. Fun times. Liked them both, especially The Outsiders. I'm going to read Invisible, and hope to finish that in the next few days, and then Thirteen Reasons. I'm running out of books! Hope you have been having a great summer! I can't believe it's already august! And tell Dan we will be praying that he has a safe and wonderful trip!
Just finished Beyond the Chocolate War, what a book. This is going to sound really bad, but I kind of wanted Archie and Brother Leon to get killed! I mean they were just getting on my nerves! Ahaha, I love books. Now, which one do you think I should read next? The Outsiders, Fahrenheit 451, or Invisible (that's the book by Pete Hautman)? And that Thirteen Reasons Why does look interesting. Hope your have a great summer! Keep the suggestions coming!
It was more than great running into you, it was a miracle! I was walking around that section for like 20 minutes trying to find some book, and thank goodness you showed up! Still my number one book recommender! You haven't failed me yet! And I haven't read that book yet, but it's now on my list. Can't wait to start reading!
I really enjoyed "the absolutely true..."! You are on a roll! Another suggestion please! :)
Having a good summer? I hope so! I need some more suggestions! I AM BOOKLESS! Please help :) thanks!
Since I have liked every book you have recommended, the latest one being Speak, which I loved, I am coming to you again to ask for your amazing wisdom. I need a new book. Recommendations please!!! Thank you! :)
Sorry PeRa
He said that it was really good, but confusing at times, especially at the end, but he wont give it away.
hi i like your profile picture. you have read a lot of books.
do you know any books that might interest me
hey mr PeRa how was life as we knew it? i was thinking of reading it
My brother read Life of Pi, and I was thinking of reading it, too. But everyone I talk to seems to have a different opinion on it. What did you think?
My brother read the abriged version in class, and he recomended it to me. It is a little bit challenging.
No I have not read "Small Steps"... I will add that to my wish list :)
I have also read the book Holes and LOVED it! It was so unique :) I'm thinking about reading it again only because it has been a couple of years. Just wanted to point that out (because I was looking at your favorite Young Adult books)
hey there PaRa, I resent the survey, hopefully this time you got it. I think i forget to answer a question so it didn't sent. Oops! Have a great day!
The Taming of the Shrew is something I'd like to look into. I'm not very familiar with Shakespeare but I fell in love with Romeo and Juliet.
I so wanna read the Hunger Games series, but I've never gotten around to it. Is it good? I don't want to rush into it too fast and get let down after reading ten pages.

Also, your picture, is that Hurley carrying a bunch of snacks and the Smoke Monster chasing him? So hilarious!
I only have one friend on my Library Thing. Show me how to add friends from class - 3rd hour.
Hello there! I see that you have read The Curious Case Of Dogs At Night Time. I was thinking of reading that book after I finished the book I am currently reading. I was wondering if you could give me a brief summary of it with out giving anything away. Also, I see you have read Paper Towns, which is one of my favorite books. What was your favorite part? Thanks :)
