About meJust your atypical 30-something bookworm. Eclectic about books, movies, and music. Loves traveling, crafting, cooking/baking, all things horror, photography, films, writing/blogging, etc and so forth. The love of books & reading goes without saying, of course. I'm American, if you're curious (from Chicagoland), but now reside [permanently] in Belgium.

New friends always welcome (I mean, bookish friends are the best, after all! ;)), so please feel free to add me, talk books with me, etc! :)

About my libraryTook inventory some time in 2012, with approximations since my guess is there are roundabouts 800 books in this location (another several hundred are back in the US w/ my mom), excluding my husband's textbooks. There are books of almost every type; anything interesting & well-written is given a fair shot! I do tend to favor classics, horror, and crime/thriller/military espionage sort of things, but my tastes are truly eclectic. As you can tell, I've hardly made a dent with books cataloged here so far, but I'm working on it!

"My library" is strictly books I physically own. Other collections are self-explanatory.

My experience with BD has been excellent.
My last book order from BD was shipped in several different deliveries. Fine. A few books came on Monday, Including one book that they had combined with another in the shipping e-mail. The second book from that e-mail arrived this morning. Tuesday I also got several packages including one of three books that were listed with a fourth in a shipping e-mail. Still waiting for that one. Oh, yes, the Tuesday books included a separate order made a day or two later.

Now, once I ordered some threads from England for a special project. 6 weeks later I finally told the company that they had not arrived. The second package arrived within the week. And a few weeks later the original package showed up.

Anyway, this morning I was too cheap to pay €10 extra for insurance and tracking nr, so you'll just have to see what happens. (If I had used that version it would have been cheaper to order you a new hardback at BD than to mail a used paperback.)
It is on its way. I chose the cheapest variation, so they say it can take up to 10 days. Are they still using horse carriages?
