About me I started working on a Ph.D. in media studies this fall, almost 20 years after completing my Master's. That leaves me no time for pleasure reading, and yet...what a phenomenal pleasure it is to be busy reading everyday!
About my library 1/4 of the books are on shelves
1/4 are on my partner's shelves and in his profile (mayo)
1/4 are in boxes
1/4 are irretrievably lost -- on eternal loan, banished to second-hand bookstores, or mysteriously vanished from one home to the next...

In response to your message:
I am just an undergraduate - about to go into my final year of media studies. Right now my dissertation title is hovering around new media art. More specifically, the role of the internet as more than just a means of promotion, and rather an integral part of the artists' work. I was planning on doing research on (feminist)discourse analysis, but as I plan to return to studying web-design when I graduate, it made more sense to draw on this in my dissertation.
Not sure if this is the kind of area you're working in, but if it is I hope you don't mind me putting you on my watch list.
