About meI am a Teen Services librarian for a large public library, and I love my job. I read compulsively, for pleasure, for work, for committees, and most recently, for reviews -- although I haven't actually written any reviews yet! I like cats, am fond of beer, watch too much TV, love to cook and hate to clean. Anything else you want to know?
About my libraryI've been collecting books, mostly paperbacks, for as long as I can remember. Many of my books are still at my parent's house, and others I was forced to dispose of when moving across the country, but my collection is still out of control. Until recently, the majority of my books were science fiction and fantasy paperbacks with random general fiction and children's literature thrown in for added spice. However, my career of choice being what it is, I suspect that teen literature is beginning to edge out the sci-fi in sheer quantity. I am beginning to catalog my library for a variety of reasons: to keep track of books nominated for my YALSA committee, to keep track of gift books from publishers, to take inventory of what I own, and to track what I've read. I will use tags to indicate what has been read or not and whether or not a book is in my personal collection or simply something I've read, and I most likely will NEVER write reviews.
