About me I am a bookaholic, bibliophile, book lover, book addict. I read every day but I still have too many books, too little time. My favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy, but I also enjoy classics, young adult, romance, and a bit of non-fiction. I've been reading since I was about two or three and I've been in love with books since then.

About my library Since I live near several used bookstores and belong to too many trade sites, I buy books a lot faster than I read them. Therefore, my collection contains more unread than read books. Most of my collection is speculative fiction. I'm only cataloging the books I own on here, so anything I read and decide not to keep will be deleted.

I recently did a massive book purge because I moved and because I needed the shelf space. My house has a library room, but I still don't have enough shelf space for all of my books. Therefore, I'm still weeding out.

I gave away my classics because I have a Palm and an iPod, so anything in the public domain went to make room on my shelves. I deleted them from my inventory, but I recently added the ones I've read and I'm going to keep adding more as I read or listen to them.

(Sorry I'm just getting back to you, I was away from the Internet over the long weekend.)
Oh, hi to you, too. Always nice to meet another LTer.

Good to hear from you! I love Michelle Sagara (or West!) she is so creative with the characters. I just finished the first book in the Valdemar series (The Queens Arrow) and really enjoyed it. I zipped through it in two nights! I can see that I will have to get the rest now!

Take care,
Iris
Hi - I was impressed that we have 78 books in common! Then I noticed you've catalogued over 2800! I have always been accused of being a "bibliophile" but holy cow! I've only catalogued a 10th of that so far.

Anyway - this is a very interesting site and I see you have some of the same taste in fantasy and SF as I do. If you are still active on the site, I would love to know what SF you've found most interesting recently.
Could you please summarize Norma Klein's Give Me One Good Reason and Now That I Know. I have most of her books but not those and I wanted to know if they were worth having.
I saw you read a book that I also did about IBD. I have Crohn's Disease and run a web forum for others with IBD. I would love it if you joined us, so we could all get to know you better. We share information, support and fun!

I hope to see you there!

That must be one great s/hand bookstore! You have most of what I've catalogued so far on your shelves, and I hope they don't collapse before you manage to read every one.... :)
Love of heaven...I've probably read that many, but how in the hell did you manage to remember all that you have read? I'm trying to remember what I did yesterday and how not to write my J's backwards. Holla back, Yo.
Wow, we share a lot of books (of course not as many as others). I'm surprised to see the Tamora Pierce Lioness Quartet in there. Believe it or not, my school had us read the first book in 6th grade, and I loved them so much I read the rest of them. How'd you find them?
Just wanted say "Hiya" to a fellow LibraryThinger. I was going to say we share quite a few books, but then I saw that your most similar books with others run into the hundreds. (I only share 81 books with you so far.) Anyway, keep up the collecting. It's quite impressive! :)
I haven't become a lifetime member yet, so I was only limited to 200 books cataloged. But we share quite a lot of the same books. If you ever have time I would love to talk about books. Hopefully I can get the rest of the books up soon. Happy New Year.
Wow, certainly impressive. Hope you make the most of your passion, and have the time to enjoy it!
Welcome to LT, Soz ;)
