About meFound LibraryThing thanks to John Green (of Brotherhood 2.0 fame, and author of Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines, and Looking for Alaska.) I love books, and love having a place to keep them all organized. Other things I love include: Coffee, Quotes, Nerdfighters, Sudoku, Movies, School Supplies, The Internet
About my libraryA collection of all the books I own that I have been able to find, catalog, and put stickers in. The sticker I put inside my books has my name, phone number and a quote from Richard de Bury's The Philobiblon, "In books I meet the dead as if they were alive, in books I see what is yet to come... All things decay and pass with time... all fame would fall victim to oblivion if God had not given mortal men the book to aid them."
The books in my library are by no means all the books I have ever read (there have been a lot). Nor have I necessarily read every single book in my library, although there are very few that I have not read.
I am amused by the fact that the dominate tag in my library is "Children". This is probably for 3 reasons. 1) I really love reading Children's books that I have never read before, so I buy a lot of new ones. 2) I have a really hard time getting rid of books I really loved as a child. 3) Children's books are short, cheap, and easy to read.
