About meMid-life career changer; currently a schizo librarian, PT academic, PT public. Two completely different jobs- if I dont get a FT soon, I really will be schizo. Obsessed with reading and books (Surprise) Once fell into a (very toxic) Venetian canal as 7 yr old nose glued to a Nancy Drew book while walking. Parents will verify otherwise ludicrous story. Fairly serious musician- flute and Baroque recorder. Used to be serious culture vulture, but librarian salary put a big kink in that. Hey, more time for reading! If you've actually read all this, email me.
About my libraryRending hole in my psyche now- library is in storage. Woe is I. Too large for house. Now that am librarian, learning to borrow books, read, and horrors -- return my friends to the public pool. Adding stuff to LT by memory. My library: all the usual "classic" suspects (well most-was an English major); recent fiction, no bestsellers unless they really were good. Lots of childrens/YA,including some nice 1sts; Scifi/Fantasy; tons of mythology/folklore, particularly Irish, Welsh, Finnish, and Norse; Wiccan stuff; lots of religious history/theory books; poetry..Neal Stephenson China Mieville-- where do you put them.... I can't remember what else... I want my library back!!!
