With my current listing of 155 books, brochures, and items devoted to Wright, yes, I would say that I find his work to be of great interest. And yet I find that you have many books not yet in my collection.
I became conscious of art, architecture and sculpture at age 12, while in the sixth grade, after we began studying Classical Greece in our World History texts. Within a year I somehow become aware of Wright's work, too, which demonstrated to a boy starved for beauty on the prairies of the Upper Midwest that we could have beautiful buildings on our own terms. The discovery altered the entire course of my life. Later, I had the privilege of living intimately in and with two of Wright's houses.
Wright's work is almost a religious quest for form and meaning. So, yes, I'm curious about the effect of Wright's work and philosophy on other people. In many ways we constitute a special breed.
