About meNot today, or tomorrow, or next month, but at some time in the distant future we will put more about us on this page. For now this library represents the collection of our family...myself, Marilyn, Rob and Lauren ... with the books spread through every room, closet, garage and basement in our home. Our goal is for each of us to input 20 books a day. We hope to have our project completed by early spring 2008.

The books represent for the most part our collective interest in everything.

About my libraryThis library began with a few books from my great grandfather's library which dates from the 1870's. Unfortuantely, a fire destroyed most of it. We can gauge its size only from numbers written in pencil inside the few examples that survived. It appears to have held at least 1,600 books. Since then, more than 40 years have passed and our library has grown and adapted to the times. Built first for reading pleasure, and then for the demands of our children, its breath represents our interests and theirs. My son, soon to graduate from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, is taking up dramatic writing. Some level of osmosis must have occured from the 1,000 or so books in his room. We're hoping, praying, that the same will happen to his sister...
