About meI'm an accumulator, a lifelong reader, and a former bookseller (now with honest work at an art museum).

About my libraryLotsa books! LibraryThing will keep me busy for a very, very long time. I have a nice little collection of Ed Abbey, Jim Harrison, Barry Moser illustrated books, natural history, bird art, Tasha Tudor, hunting and fishing, shooting, bookbinding, dogs (fiction as well as nonfiction), wood engraving, fine art, fiber arts, and illustrated children's books. There are books in the living room, down the hall, two bedrooms and an office. Plus, I'm afraid there are even some in the garage (which is not necessarily a good place). Am trying to justify buying a Kindle (heresy!) for the 'popular entertainment' I enjoy so much but don't necessarily want to add to the population. Right now they just get shuffled around family members and then they have to go to thrift store donations. (update: Kindle bought, several books read, like it!) But you just can't beat a real book....

I still have many of the books I had as a child including my precious Charlotte's Web. I try now to not acquire more until I can make some space by thinning. Fortunately, there's a son who is also a book-nut and as soon as he gets more space I'll move some out to him. LibraryThing has allowed me to reassess what I have and has helped in the thinning-out process.

Dear Grit - If you like Harrison, you really should read FARMER, which I still consider his best work, old as it is. I did enjoy his newest book too, since I was an Englis major too. Jim lived here in Reed City between the ages of 4 and 13, or thereabouts. I'm retired back here now trying do do what I can to keep RC alive by writing my memoirs. - Tim
Hey there!

Just saw Harrison has a new one coming out on April 1st plus Amazon has the bibliography listed as well - not released yet of course!
Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you like my photo - he is a wonderful dog. I like your photo too! It's attention getting for sure :-) It's been awhile since I visited my LT pages, so thanks for reminding me.
I thank you for the support, but I am just one of many.
Nah...I'm definately not on that blog. Too lazy to maintain one. If your husband has any questions about what is in my library, I would be more than glad to answer. Time permitting of course. Sometimes I get a little busy here.
Pleased to meet you and flattered that you would find my library of interest.
