Wild Like the Foxes is the life story of the author's mother who was raised on Baffin Island, or somewhere near there. It's really kind of like a Little House in the Big Woods kind of book - lots of interesting details about daily living - only it's Eskimo (Inuit) people, and told as a story. Some of it was so amazing and unusual that it was hard to believe it happened, but I think it's all true. It was one of my daughter's favorite books ever; I think she was about 13 when she read it.
