About meI'm a working (RN) mother of two; English in upbringing, but happily married into American-Haitian family. I don't know how I make time to read, but I always manage to. It's one of my favourite ways to unwind. I think I'm reading one of the Twilight series in this picture.

About my libraryVery diverse. Fiction, non-fiction, classics, thrillers, teen stuff...I read quickly and like to read current stuff too. I feel like I can never read enough. I really want to write one day.

Dear Sally,

You’ve won “Total Secession” from LibraryThing!

Would you like to receive your copy in the Kindle format, the NOOK format, or as a PDF? Please let me know so that I can get the novel to you as fast as possible.

Your Author,

Adam Connell
Sally, finished a book last night, "Sarah's Key" and wrote a review of it. I think you'd like it. It's another novel about the Holocaust. It is a parallel story about a little Jewish girl in 1942 and an American/French woman in 2002. I wasn't keen on the American/French character, as she really needed to wake up about her life - letting an adulterous husband stay - arrrgghhh! But, little Sarah ripped open a huge whole in my heart! I'd send it to you, but it belongs to a coworker of mine. Hope you're well. Love you bunches and wish I could spend some time with you!
Hey babe! Finished "Agent Zigzag" - had to with school starting! Just finished "Night Road" - recommended by a coworker. It was an ok book, very predicatble. Will try to speak to you this weekend. Crazy with the beginning of school :) Love to you and the family. By the way - you look so very beautiful in the photos from your fancy event! Hot stuff for an old lady :)
No, but I've spoken to her about you enough. She'd love to have you visit her, if you'd like. She's recently had knee replacement surgery on her other leg and is recovering well. Let me know if you want to see her. I'll contact her and give you her phone number.

Stopped by a used bookstore today called "The Book Lady". Lovely old shop, crammed floor to ceiling with books! She's got longish grey hair. Had donut holes and coffee for her customers, and gives book credit when you bring in books! Great deals on kids books for the classroom, which I can't resist! I felt very nostalgic being there. Oh, she usually brings two of her dogs with her to the shop. They lay on the floor under a table on which are doggie cookies. The kids love to feed the dogs and pet them :)
Are you planning to see the "Girl With The Dragon Tatoo"? I've seen the films actually, all of them. I haven't read any of the books - shocking huh! My friend Merridith wants me to see the movie with her over vacation. I'm leery of seeing the American version, since you know I'm such a movie snob :)
I know! I just can't understand why on earth they didn't enjoy the book. Maybe we should make a survey to see what styles each of us enjoys most :)
Hi Sally,

The code has expired since I sent the email. I went and got you another one. Use code AG58D and go here http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/94758 to get your free book.

Thanks
Sybil
Hi,

I'd like to apologize. You recently won my novel, Dirty Little Angels, through The LibraryThing Member Giveaway. Unfortunately, I mistakenly posted the giveaway as a physical book instead of an e-book, so when I received the list of winners, no emails were included. Are you interested in receiving a free e-book version of the novel? If so, send me your e-mail address (mine is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll send you a free copy.

Sorry for the confusion,

Chris
Hi,

This is a quick note from me, (the author, the publisher) of The End of the World to let you know that you have won the LibraryThing Member Giveaway of this book. I imagine LibraryThing has also let you know, but in case they have not. Congratulations.

Now come the part of fulfillment. My part, your part… I am anxious and happy to send you a copy of The End of the World as quickly as possible, but I need to know where and for you to confirm that the email LT has for you is accurate.

In order for me to best send you a copy I will do so by email, but knowing what file format you prefer is of course quite relevant. I can supply ePub, Mobi, PDF, MS Word (if I have to), Pages 09, Scrivener, an RTF file.

So many choices and some are better to read on a computer screen or device then others.

I hope to hear from you soon about your choice,

Thank you again,

David W Wilkin

Hi Sally

I don't get to choose the winners but I will send you the coupon code anyway. My pleasure.
Did you win a print book or an eBook? If it was the print book, I mailed that a long time ago. If it was the eBook, I sent an email to all the winners with the Smashwords coupon. If you hurry, you can still use it. The coupon code is DT57G. Go here: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/51717 and you can download it in any format you want.

I actually mailed it this morning. I really enjoyed the book, hope you do too!!!
Congrats on winning Friendship Bread! I will have it in the mail on Monday, enjoy:)
Glad we think alike regarding books. I liked your comment about Gilbert and knowing you could have done a better job, only if you had a chance to travel :) Love you and miss you!
Thanks for the reminder. Is there any way you can send me her email address and I'll look for her on your fb page, so I can friend her. Thanks.
Yep! It's true! "The Sisters" is exactly the same book as "The Behaviour of Moths", except it's marketed for the US audience! To think I spent the money on the same book, BUT, I love the language in the English version - so much richer! "While my sister sleeps" is your book. I'll choose a book for the club. I'm thinking "Three Cups of Tea" or something like that! I'll review "The Sisters" this weekend, God-willing, I get a chance!
Sally,
I remember when we were talking about this book, it sounded familiar. Didn't I send you a book called "The Sisters"? If I did, it's the same book at "The Behaviour of Moths", except for the US audience. When I began reading the book tonight, I kept saying to myself, "I know I've read this!" When I looked it up, I found that it had another title for the US audience. Duh! I can write my review ASAP!
Sal! I snagged an Early Batch book! I'm so excited! I can't wait to read it and tell you all about it! Love you!
so excited amelia and kate are both on LT! I can't wait to connect to them!
Sal, has Amelia become a member of LibraryThing yet? I've finished two more kid books which I think she's enjoy. They are "The Whipping Boy", which she'd love after her visit to Hampton Court! Also, I just finished "The Lemonade Wars", which is about a brainy second grader who will be in her brother's fourth grade class! It would be good for her to read too. Anyway, travel safely and much love to you all!
Sally, I just finished a kid's novel called "Flying Solo". I think Amelia might enjoy it. Maybe you and she can look it up at the library before she returns to school. Love you!
I'm actually going to write a review for the next issue of our local Audubon newsletter. I'll let you read it before I submit it. Have a great trip!
Sal, I'm so proud of Amelia! The kids remind me of myself when I was little. Mama always took us to the library for the summer reading program. We collected hundreds of reading certificates, as we kept our noses in books all the time. That's another thing I really appreciate about my mom, her love of reading and the written word. Man, I can still smell the library and still love the feeling of the coolness and smell of aged paper. Nothing better! Love you and tell Amelia that I've got LOADS of kids books on my list! She should get some good recommendations!
Noticed you liked The God of Small Things, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a grief-stricken family. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:
