About meThis library is a part of the San Jose Friends Meeting House, located in San Jose, California. The meeting is made up of a small friendly community of modern liberal Quakers/Friends, who meet weekly on Sundays at 10am to celebrate the spirit in everyone.

About my libraryThe collection reflects the history of the San Jose Friends, as well as the larger history and spirtitual beliefs of the Society of Friends.

Friends are very much a part of this world, and if they are not meeting for worship, oftentimes they are out trying to make the world better. Our collection reflects not only our history, but the injustices we peacefully attempt to stand against.

The community's collection also has books by local Quaker authors. Another resource to current Quaker thought includes the Pendle Hill Pamphlets, which are short essays by historical and contemporary Quaker thinkers.
