Hi, I noticed a comment you had in the talk pages about Sophie Kinsella. From the disambiguation notice on her author page, "Disambiguation Notice: Sophie Kinsella is a pseudonym for Madeleine Wickham." - it appears that all the names she writes under (or people have misspelled her name as) have been combined. This is a common practice on this site so to gather all her books onto the one author page.
Her real life name has also been added into the Common Knowledge Canonical Name field on the author page, which gives the over-riding author name you saw.
Personally I find the CK Canonical Name to be more useful in cases where amazon etc have misspelt an author's name, but other's on the site also use it to provide real names instead of pseudonyms; especially with some authors who use many pseudonyms in addition to their actual name.

It can be a bit odd though when finding an author name that is unfamiliar on a book you know :-)

Hope you continue to enjoy LT. cheers, ryn

PS - you'd posted the question in what looked like a personal group so I didn't reply there, as I'd have had to join then unjoin to reply. Just so you know - all group postings appear on the general talk page unless the group is changed to "Private" by the group administrator.
