GroupsKnitters Inc., Librarians who LibraryThing, Read YA Lit

About meI'm a librarian at a private school in Northeast Pennsylvania, working primarily with high school students and a group of really terrific faculty members.

About my libraryI don't think I've ever met a librarian who wasn't an inveterate reader and collector of books. Actually becoming a librarian was the best thing that ever happened to me; I'm able to buy books for my library that I also am interested in reading so it keeps my home collection to the books I adore and reread all the time or my more esoteric collections that wouldn't fit the library's collection development policy. My husband has said that in addition to earning a salary, my job saves us thousands of dollars a year!

How the heck did you get your dog to sit still for that great pic? I have a 100 pound Great Pyrenees, and NOTHING stays on his head for longer than 2 seconds. It's impossible to get cute headwear pix!
