About meI have been collecting books for years, and my library has just crept up on me. In my last move half of the boxes were books. I love to read, and to learn new things. I am interested in history and archaeology, as well as sybaritic comforts like cooking, decorating and costuming.
If you ask me nicely, I have been known to lend out books to people I have only just met, to share the love.
About my libraryI have wanted to really sort through my books for some time. My library consists of a collection of the books I inherited from my mother (which include books that belonged to my great-grandparents), books I had as a child, books I purchased for school (archaeology at BU, then Humanities through Harvard), and things I have picked up along the way. The SCA inspired me to expand my library, and got me interested in food history. I have rekindled an interest in maritime history as well.
And then there are the comics...
I am hoping that cataloging it all will help me "weed out" the books I have that I have never read, and will never read, to make room for.... more books, and keep track of the books I have loaned out.
