Well if the flower is from Réunion then I feel better about not recognising it. I am a Landscape Architect / Horticulturalist also with a botanical training. By the way, as you probably guessed I'm not really Portuguese - I've just lived there a long time.
Did you visit Sintra when you were in Lisbon?
