About meMy education consists of a BA in Economics from Cleveland State University.
I have a love for history and it is reflected in many areas of my life. The study of the past helps give perspective to the present and a path for the future.

I am a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution. My membership in this organization is in large part due to my interest in genealogy.

I served in the U.S. Army at the end of the Cold War. My love of country is second only to my love of God.

My other main passion is gardening, I am especially interested in historic gardens and ancient herblore. I intend to construct an authentic Medieval herb garden in the course of the next few years.

About my libraryMy library has four main areas of focus: 1)Military history, with emphasis on the U.S. Civil War, and German armor operations in W.W.2, I have also been expanding my interest into the U.S. Revolutionary War and associated colonial histories,
2)Ancient civilizations and cultures, this is the newest focus of my library and I hope to expand it gradually;
3)Gardening, with special emphasis on historic garden design and herblore,
4)My family is from Westmoreland County, and my research into my families past has centered there. I am always trying to acquire materials pertaining to that region.

Todd, I probably watched you. It would have been 92 or 93 when we were there. We were friends with Ron and Linda Breedlove who had a Civil War Shop in Bolivar. We would follow them around to the reenactments so we could visit with them. Are you from NE Ohio? I'm originally from Stark County.

Denny
Hi SgtBrown, That building on your profile seems very familiar. Could it be from Hale Farm between Akron and Cleveland? I went to a reenactment there many years ago. The 8th Ohio put on some great scenarios there

Take care,
Denny
